Okay, so I haven’t done anything with the website in almost a month. I was in Vienna then Alsace and now I am back in Florida. I arrived on 30 May. I leave Monday for my trip to Bogotá and will be there until 30 June. It has been a busy time period. Leaving Brussels and settling back in Florida for the coming months while also working on my dissertation and tying up loose ends for the Colombia trip has kept me busy.

 

The trip should be exciting and I look forward to the coming challenges and exciting experiences that the visit should have in store. On Tuesday morning I will be attending an event at Nuevo Arco Iris http://www.nuevoarcoiris.org.co/. It is a think tank in Bogotá that was founded in 1996 by former ELN combatants who demobilized in 1994. I have an interview scheduled afterward with a former combatant that should be quite interesting.

 

My laptop will come with me on the trip and will make it a point to blog as often as possible. Surely there will be some interesting entries.
